Jaclyn and Gabriele live in New York and organized their super stylish and curated wedding all by themselves, so it was essential for them to fully trust their vendors to avoid any unpleasant surprises on the day of the ceremony. From the very first email, they told me about a symbolic ceremony and a reception that was far from the classic wedding concept (no rings, no bouquet toss, and no cake) but full of stories, love, and laughter. And that’s exactly what I encountered on that late May morning.
But no destination wedding is complete without a welcome dinner before the ceremony! Jaclyn and Gabriele decided to kick off the celebrations the day before by offering their guests an informal (but hearty!) aperitif at the charming Girardi shop, a historic store in perfect Art Nouveau style, located in the picturesque center of Salò.
I must admit: destination weddings are among my favorite wedding photography services. The atmosphere is always cheerful and lively, both among the couple and their guests (who are usually just close family and best friends). There’s no bad weather that can ruin the party, something quirky always happens (once they cut prosciutto in front of me instead of the cake!!), and it's always different from Italian weddings. And last but not least, it’s an opportunity not to lose touch with the only two languages I know!
